Lars Hørning (born June 29, 1979) is a Danish bass player and lead singer. He’s the founding member of the heavy metal band “Diretone” with whom he has toured with in parts of Europe, Scandinavia, Russia & China. Direotone has recorded two full length albums and a single over the past 10 years. Hørning writes, records & performs with Aria Pro II SB-1000 basses.
Diretone is a groove metal band with a thick organic sound, combining heavy grooves, Scorching leads, down-tuned guitars, clean vocal delivery, and a traditional approach to metal songwriting. And instead of venturing into winding and overly technical sections, the focus is on accessibility and the bands impact as a hole. Diretone is essentially a live band guaranteed to leave heads banging in front of the stage.
Hørning also sings in the heavy Metal tribute band “The Ktulu Project” covering the last 4 decades of Metallica.
