I’m an Aria endorsed artist and one of the main things I look for in a guitar is reliability. This guitar is an absolute workhorse and a joy to play. The great team over at Pro Music Australia did a great setup on it for me and it plays like magic. I have taken this guitar to the other side of the world and back on tour playing show after show and it never lets me down.
If you had to compare how it plays to another guitar, it is probably best described as a cross between a les paul and an ESP eclipse. You can get incredibly low action on this thing if you like and it is capable of multiple tones and sounds.
Despite this guitar being a les paulish design, The neck pickup actually sounds similar to a telecaster which is extremely useful for clean tones to get that clarity and makes this guitar extremely versatile live.
The only negative thing I could say about this guitar is it’s tuners. They tend to slip a lot and are quite sensitive, but upgrading to locking tuners will solve that.
Quality wise overall for the price it is amazing and well worth your buck. It would be most comparable to a high end epiphone with the quality of parts and workmanship.
Overall for a mid ranged priced guitar I would highly recommend this. Very happy with it and an incredible instrument.

great guitar for money

I agree with the first reviewer Kevin in terms of sound. The PE Royale sounds brighter and airier than a classical LP-style guitar, which is especially great for the clean or only very slightly distorted blues sound that I’m looking for. The Pickups in this are actually pretty good sounding and versatile for any style. They can deliver anything from outringing clean lead sounds over crunchy to heavy distortion. Only exception: it won’t give you the typical Strat sound, but one wouldn’t expect that from a double humbucker guitar anyway.
Other than that the guitar is really beautiful, it is also very neatly finished and well made; and it’s very comfortable to play. It has got an ergonomic body and a nice rounded neck which is neither too thin nor too thick. And it is much lighter than my LP from the stone age which weighs around eleven and a half pounds and is a real back-breaker.
Overall a great guitar.
Since this model has been discontinued you will have to find a second hand offer if you want to buy one. If you find one of these in good condition, grab it, you can’t go wrong.
